Vegetation Restoration Alters Fungal Community Composition and Functional Groups in a Desert Ecosystem

Revegetation is regarded as an effective means to improve the ecological environment in deserts and profoundly influences potential functions of soil fungal community. Therefore, Illumina high-throughput sequencing was performed characterize diversity community composition at two depths (0–10 cm 10–20 cm) with four revegetation durations (natural grassland, half-mature, nearly mature, mature Pinus. sylvestris var. mongolica plantations) Mu Us Sandy Land, China. The effects properties on communities were also examined reveal connection between function environment. results indicated that 1) nutrient content enzyme activity showed significant differences through restoration durations, 2) there no effect depth diversity, while Shannon index all significantly different among 3) compared ectomycorrhizal fungi (notably, Inocybe , Tuber Calostoma ) abundant plantations. endophyte fungus Mortierella top 10 genera samples arbuscular mycorrhizal Diversispora indicator genus 4) catalase total nitrogen main factors affecting closely related saprotrophs pathotrophs, respectively. This new information indicates variation along highlights interaction desert ecosystems.
